A lonely but triumphant tree rooted in the industrial iron of the Hungerford rail and footbridge, in yellow-gold autumnal glory.

How many pictures do you take of a good subject? I saw this and I kept snapping until the train came past – I knew there had to be something more from the wonderful juxtaposition.

A yellow train door moving behind grey girders, contrasting with the tree, illicit, free and clinging defiantly on.

Oh, the anthropomorphic metaphorical resonance.
