At 12 midnight, it will be here in the UK if we can see it, the brightest overhead moon for a quarter of a century. The angles are right, it seems, for this optical extravaganza.

The moon is making me edgy. I managed to lose my blog template. It took me an hour and a quarter to get it back.

I was putting this PayPal donate button on the right sidebar.

I put a donate button on my blog as sort of a joke…and it has proved to be precisely that.

I commiserate in your blog loss dread scenario, the gremlins get to me from time to time. But I am hardly the afficianado you are.

Glad you’re back up and running, I’ve been reading your archives and you certainly aren’t wormy. You have a real future, if the snarling dogs of commerce don’t drag you down.

I have a suggestion, not that you seem short on ideas, but, after your use of the word ‘chuffed’ in your comment on my blog, it occured to me: Why not do something on British slang?

Y’all have a way with that sort of thing that is diametrically opposed to the erstwhile charm of American slang. After ‘cool’ and ‘bitchen’ came along, American slang has creeped me out and left me fairly cold and knackered (I figured that one out).

It would be interesting, from this side of things, to understand just what the hell is being said.
