Unfortunately, Sasser shares several behaviors common with other recent viruses. The most common sign is that your machine will indicate that there is a problem and will reboot in 60 seconds. The message caused by Sasser should indicate that the problem is in LSASS.EXE.<\/p>\n<p>You should be able to abort the shutdown within those first 60 seconds by doing the following:<\/p>\n<p>Press the Start button and then the Run menu item.<br \/>Type shutdown -a. That&#8217;s the &#8220;shutdown&#8221; command, with the &#8220;-a&#8221; option, which stands for <br \/><center><font SIZE=4 COLOR=RED>>>><i>&#8220;abort the pending shutdown&#8221;.<\/i><<< <\/font><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Press OK.<\/p>\n<p>This doesn&#8217;t fix anything, it just lets you get on with the business of <a HREF=\"http:\/\/ask-leo.com\/what_are_lsass_lsassexe_and_sasser_and_how_do_i_know_if_im_infected_what_do_i_do_if_i_am.html\">disinfecting<\/a> your computer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First, how do you know you have it?
