It turned out he had written a thesis on Blake. We chatted about Blake&#8217;s regard for nature, and his attitude to it, and I mentioned Isaac Newton.<\/div>\n<p \/>\n<div>The gentlemen reminded me of this picture:<\/div>\n<p \/>\n<div><a href='http:\/\/posterous.com\/getfile\/files.posterous.com\/nanophilosophy\/reVNueqtvsLdITzNoLqgExBpKHDCyHpdBQWVAuFyYtlfGPUsGW0e7pdnTKpN\/02isaac_newton_1795_cu_engrave.jpg.scaled.1000.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/posterous.com\/getfile\/files.posterous.com\/nanophilosophy\/fJPRwqpHlTjmj47kNlWjws6qNxnqMup0ywSkpzDQ6PP7oHQWNSnvUPcgMOX8\/02isaac_newton_1795_cu_engrave.jpg.scaled.500.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"385\"\/><\/a> <\/div>\n<div>Blake depicts Newton studying the known universe, surrounded by the vast unknown. He forms a triangle, as he makes a triangle.
