Two weeks of <a HREF=\"http:\/\/valentineresistance.com\" target=_blank>Cupid=Stupid<\/a> to go and actually I am enjoying staying on one topic for a month, instead of doing the usual blog thing, treating each post separately and writing in bite-sized pieces. I like to play with the structure of things and move the beat around to keep myself entertained, but the freedom of blogging can be ruinous to good writing.<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.mech.northwestern.edu\/fisher\/amf.html\" target=_blank><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/funk.co.uk\/blogpix\/extending_the_form.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a><font SIZE=7 COLOR=RED>Look, Dear, he&#8217;s trying to extend the form&#8230;<\/font><\/p>\n<p>To enrich the experience, I decided to link to other writers who are covering similar ground in this messy subject (see below). Then I read <a HREF=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/programmes\/from_our_own_correspondent\/4216475.stm\" target=_blank>this article yesterday<\/a> about a Bosnian Serb concentration camp guard and his muslim friend. In our age of paranoia, islamophobia, eroding civil liberties, and the constant blurring of truth and re-writing of events to suit, this story is worth a read, and I think I can include it in my theme of love. Love is not a feeling, it&#8217;s an <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=%22love+is+an+act+of+will%22&#038;ie=UTF-8&#038;oe=UTF-8\" target=_blank>act of will<\/a>. In this case, an act also of great bravery.<center><\/p>\n<table WIDTH=300>\n<tr>\n<td><i><font COLOR=BROWN><br \/>\n<br \/>Muslims had been officially declared vermin.<\/p>\n<p>So they had to be concentrated.<\/p>\n<p>Every night Serb soldiers, back from the front, came to the camp.<\/p>\n<p>They wanted revenge for lost comrades.<\/p>\n<p>They asked the guards for the keys to the rooms.<\/p>\n<p>And committed acts of unspeakable barbarity. Of sexual humiliation and horror.<\/p>\n<p>Of all the guards, only Kole refused to hand over the key, says Duda.<\/p>\n<p>That was the only shift when there were no beatings or killings.<\/i><\/font><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve just seen the anniversary marked of the liberation of Auschwitz.
