Tancred had health and rank,
Good looks, and money to bank
He went to great lengths,
But intelligence
Vanished whenever he drank.

The problem was not with the beer;
Two drinks, and largesse would appear.
The whisky, the wine,
The cognac was fine.
Captain of a boat he could steer,

He’d continue with absynthe and gin,
But, as bleak disappointment set in,
“Fuck!” would say Tancred
“I’m so fcuking wankred
Why teh fuck did I ever begin?”
