Dear Reader,

The story of Mrs Sunderbury and the Gold Earring has been paused for a week.

My friend Loosely sent me Hanuman. She says that he is very bright as has 5 brains. I have asked him to assist me and I hope to be able to come back to you soon with more fiction.

Thank you for your forebearance.

Yours

Deek.

Seeing that Hanuman is a monkey deity I suppose the downside is this representation has five monkey brains. Probably not very bright afterall, but possibly quite cunning.

your friend Loosely doesn’t seem very bright. Sheer ignorance!

Hanuman is a Hindu deity and a monkey god but he does not have five brains (or heads). Ravan, demon king of Sri Lanka had 10 heads (that is a personification of his evil ways)but he wasn’t very bright either because Ram and Laxman along with Hanuman busted him good and proper
